Management TeamThe company has been developed by two brothers, John and Mark Baker. These two individuals have remained the driving force behind the development and success of the company. Despite being brothers their backgrounds could not be more different. John Baker is by profession an international banker, but not in the traditional sense that one would normally think of a banker. Until the summer of 1997 he ran international trading floors for some of the most prestigious banking names, in both the City of London and New York. John spent six years living in New York gaining international experience. Mark Baker by contrast is a religious minister and runs his own Pentecostal church. He is well versed in the Jewish culture and history, he also organises and leads guided tours of Israel. Mark is very creative and runs the "artistic" side of the company, being responsible for all the art work, design and printing. He also builds and develops internet web pages for our customers. Mark also runs his own graphics design company (see our Links page). Graham Giles joined us in October 2005 and is responsible for managing the Learndirect IT Training Suite.

We now have a full IT Service Centre in Rayleigh, Essex, which consist of the largest Repair Centre in South Essex, a dedicated IT Learning Suite and a shop. Our CustomersAs of August 2006 we have over 3000 domestic customers and 400 SMEs. Our customers include some prestigious names including 15 charities - YMCA, The PVTA, MenCap, National Tremor Foundation & The National ME Centre. In addition to this we have 22 Educations Facilities, 2 Fund Managers, Estate Agents, Financial Advisors, Accountants, Transport Companies, Religious Organisations and Building Companies. HistoryOver the past 2 years the business has evolved into offering a one-stop shop for al, our customers computer requirements. We pride ourselves in doing the little things that make a difference. When a customer purchases an item from us we give them the full manufacturers warranty, rather than "cheat" them out of what is rightfully theirs. Bookkeeping Training FacilitiesIn November 2004 we opened an IT Training Suite dedicated to offering on-line learning in conjuction with Learndirect. Future DevelopmentsTowards the end of 2006 we will expand our business by adding an additional IT Training Suite. This purpose build room will accomodate some 30 new learning stations, each being furnished with TFT Monitors and the new "Cube" style computers. This will enable us to accomodate up to 50 learners at one time. Site DevelopmentThe Dr Byte website was designed and built in house.
